Title: Not Mine to Keep

Text: II Kings, Chapter 7, 

“Why do we sit here till we die? If we say, Let us enter the city, the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit here, we die also. So now come, let s go over o the camp of the Syrians; if they spare our lives, we shall life, and if they kill us, we shall butdie Sothey arose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians but when they came to edge of the camp....there was no one there...They said one to another, We are not doing right. This is a day of good news; therefore come, let us go and tell the king’s household.’”

Key Words and Themes: We will lose our faith if we do no share it. What are we each doing to share our faith? Faith is not ours to keep. Plug for the Protestant Hour to help share the good news. The Gospel has food for our soul. When we become a Christian we become rich.

Title: God Has Spoken

Key Words and Themes: No man needs to feel insignificant because God has spoken. Centuries ago He spoke to the children of Israel but it was not compete. The message was one of social justice and personal morality. Then suddenly God came with us...Emmanuel. Jesus was the perfect revelation of what God is. He established His Church. The Church had the responsibility to preserve the Word of God. The Word of God is not only a word but also a power. Two great soldiers of World War II lived with the power of God in his life: General Montgomery and General Eisenhower. God has spoken to you. Why not listen?

Influence of church on college campuses has five reasons: 

1.  Rise of higher education.
2.  Rise of secularism in higher education. 
3.  Rise of religion. 
4. The rise of the Church.
5. Rise of the Church’s concern for every phase of life – a concern that honesty and justice and truth shall prevail in business, in politics, in scientific endeavor and in education. The Church is in action on American college campuses in three general ways:

1.Through Church-related colleges

2. In action through Church programs.

3. In action through Church people.

Title: For the Healing of the Nations

 Examples of missionaries in Iran in hospitals.Stories of their personal relations with the people who served.Ministering to human beings more than scientists or diplomats they perceived the magnitude of the human problem of the Persians. When the missionaries went out they found the church was already there. We can no longer expect the primitive people of the world to carry our burdens. Through its world mission the church has been trying to bring healing for all the sick, barren, desolate places of human life. We are invited to be a missionary.

Today, one in four marriages end in divorce. Most of the church’s work happens in the home.

Parents must teach the faith in the home, not relying solely on one hour on Sunday morning. The home is a place where healthy personalities live in harmony. A healthy home is a happy home. A healthy home is a holy home. Is Christ welcome in your home?
